Rokkie began with a simple question: what would a wardrobe look like if it were built to last, rather than designed to be replaced?

After spending time working in the fashion industry in Europe, alongside international brands and wholesale markets, it became clear how quickly clothing moves through the traditional fashion cycle. New collections arrive, old ones disappear, and garments are often treated as temporary.

Rokkie was created as an alternative to that rhythm.

The collection is intentionally small: a jacket, a top, a skirt, a pant, and two dresses. Each piece is numbered; No. 01, No. 02, and so on, not as a styling device, but as a record. New pieces are added carefully and only when they have earned their place. The collection is designed to remain, rather than be replaced.

Every garment is made in South Africa in small batches. Keeping production close to home allows for a more thoughtful approach to making clothes; one where quality, fit and attention to detail matter more than volume. Each piece is created with longevity in mind, intended to be worn often and kept for years.

The denim itself is raw indigo, chosen for the way it evolves over time. It softens with wear, develops character, and becomes unique to the person wearing it. Rather than deteriorating, it improves.
